Logos with Creative Custom Lettering

I’m a big fan of logos that stand out – and one way to make a logo noticeably different is to spend time creating custom lettering for the design. Instead of relying on the same pool of typefaces that every other designer has access to, custom lettering allows you to create a logo that is truly unique and that has it’s own personality and style built in. Whether it’s creating your own font just for that design, or trying your hand at calligraphy – designing the lettering for the logo can take time and a lot of patience, but when it’s done right the results can be absolutely stunning.

To help give you some inspiration, I’ve brought together some of my favourite logo designs that all make use of custom lettering. I love how each of these designs stands out as having it’s own personal style, and as a result it gives the brand a one-of-a-kind feel. Hopefully this collection will get you thinking about how to add some creative custom lettering to your next logo design.

The process of designing a website can be long and arduous. Typical static content websites are more of the bread-and-butter layouts we see everyday. However there are plenty of more detailed examples involving message boards, forums, and other social communities.

In this gallery I’ve put together 36 screenshots of well-crafted bulletin boards for designers. Building a forum template requires lots of pre-planning to get the whole layout looking good. If you see which techniques other designers have used it may provide a blueprint for starting your own project from scratch.
